Tekom-Puk in preparation for transition to integrated management system – June, 2010

Tekom-Puk, being a well established cable tray manufacturers of Turkey in its sector in terms of always providing high quality products and service, schedules transition to integrated management system through its studies initiated in April 2010. It is expected to realize such transition in the last quarter of 2010 in line with the targets.

Tekom-Puk has been serving to the leading companies of oil and gas sector in the world especially in the last years. It has been performing some arrangements in its in-house activities for a long time for the purpose of meeting high level quality and service expectations of such companies. Tekom-Puk lastly accelerated its activities towards obtaining Occupational Health and Safety Management Standard ( TS 18001-2008 ) and Environmental Management System Standard ( TS EN 14001 ), and schedules to complete the studies for such standards within the next 6 months, to integrate to the present quality system and to document the same.

General Manager Murad Saygın informed that there have been investments of sizes attracting all world-wide companies in Gulf countries, Turkic Republics and North African countries in oil and gas industries within the last five years. Mr. Saygın stated that they expected to continue investments increasingly in the next ten years, and added:

“It is possible to have a place within such investments as a product supplier only if you can provide superior service and product quality. A considerable part of agreements require, in addition to commercial conditions, performing the production activities in a way least damaging to the environment and keeping health and safety conditions for workers at maximum level. We have been serving to such sectors for years. We are at a level to meet easily the quality and service expectations of the sector for a long time since we continuously improve our processes in line with our company targets and the demands of our customers. As a result of all such developments, we aim at ensuring the certification of our management system with our integrated management system studies, as we schedule to complete in 2010, and obtaining the advantage of competition in international market.”

In conclusion to such studies scheduled for the company, certifications for the Occupational Health and Safety Management Standard and Environmental Management System Standard will be combined with the present ISO 9001 Quality Management System Standard and we will start with the integrated management system.
