Tekom-Puk continues to improve its technology – September, 2010

Being extremely fastidious in improving its production technologies and using technologies of the highest level Tekom-Puk which is one of the sector’s leaders in those matters has realized a new technolgical investment by introducing welding robot into the cable ladder manufacturing processes.

Until quite recently applying manual methods in welding processes of ladder type cable trays Tekom-Puk is going to produce those mentioned products by using fully automatic robots  thanks to the new investment from now on. Obtaining the financial support from İzmir Development Agency (İZKA) within the context of the Project named “Innovative Technology and More Environmentalist Production” Tekom-Puk realized this Project by project and enginnering works of Oerlikon which is internationally well-known in welding technologies field. By favour of the welding robot iplemented in Tekom-Puk installations by collaboration of Oerlikon’s engineering experience and a Japanese Giant Panasonic in technology the firm has owned one of the highest technologies of the field while increasing its production capacity by considerable dimensions.

Making explanations about the matter General Manager Murad Saygın said that most of the production activities of cable carrying and supporting systems are being performed by help of machine tools with computerized control and there was a need an automation in welding  of the produced cable ladders and now that need is satisfied by help of the support obtained from İZKA and continued as follows:

“One of the most important quality policies on which our company focuses is to follow the most advanced production technologies in our field and to employ them. As you know utilisation of advanced technologies and automation ensures a  production of  the highest quality with possibly  least defects while increasing the production capacity. Therefore as Tekom-Puk  we attach very great importance to automation. By increase of industial investments in our region in recent years some considerable  demand is formed  to the ladder type cable trays. Our customers’ expectations of higher qualities and capacities have directed us to make a new investment in that field. Both financial support by İzmir Development Agency and technical supports by the firms Oerlikon and Panasonic have given way to this investment yielding extremely succesful results. By help of the installed robot system we have increased our production capacity of cable ladder  more than doubled.”

Saygın pointed out that they will continue incessantly to make technological investments related with the firm’s activities in the following terms  and thanked everbody who made effort in the Project context.
